Travelling to Sønderborg:

  • Fly all the way to Sønderborg: Travel by plane first to Copenhagen and transfer to a flight to Sønderborg by AlsieExpress. (Ticket to Sønderborg can only be booked via: https://alsieexpress.dk/)

  • Enjoy a day or two in Copenhagen: Travel to Copenhagen - enjoy a day in the beautiful capital city. Travel by train from Copenhagen Central Station (Københavns Hovedbanegård) to Sønderborg (Tickets to Sønderborg can only be purchased via DSB (DSB | Find din togrejse og pris - please remember to book a seat) or via Flixbus (Billige busrejser | FlixBus)

  • Fly to Hamburg or Billund and rent a car. Both destinations are around 2 hours drive from Sønderborg. Check your perference - we have good experience with Sixt and Europecar (pricing from 55 euro/day)

  • Cruise to Travemünde. If you wish to travel by car and do not wish to drive through Sweden, we recommend a journey from Helsinki to Travemünde. Finnlines' Ferry trips and Cruises in the Baltic Sea - Finnlines
